With the advancement of technology in the field of endoscopy in recent times, it is possible to visualize pediatric and infant guts.This department will be run under the able guidance of Dr Harsh Bhayana. He has completed his MD from PGI Chandigarh with post MD training from PGI in the department of pediatric gastroenterology. We have special pediatric endoscopes with which we can easily do endoscopies even in infants. Celiac disease and chronic diarrhea have become very common and the diagnosis is commonly missed.We wish to simplify endoscopic biopsies for their early diagnosis.Rectal polyp which was considered a domain of pediatric surgeons can be easily removed with the help of endoscope in a few minutes only. Foreign bodies in the stomach can be easily removed. In addition chronic constipation cases, chronic liver disease patients shall be dealt with full expertise.
